Recipe : Abundance of Harvest 吉兆丰收

Vegetarian red pork is a favourite dish amongst many because of the combination of the soy based texture and konjac. It’s usually cooked with a sauce, or can be add to a stew. Try cooking this dish at home today with our recipe. Plant based food can be made easy with vegan products that substitutes meat.

Ingredients :

  • Vegetarian Stewed Red Pork (cut into cubes)
  • Half bamboo shoot (cut into slices)
  • Half winter bamboo shoot (cut into slices)
  • 5 dried mushrooms
  • 2 star anise
  • 1 small piece of cinnamon
  • 4 slices of ginger

Cooking Method :

  • Brush the Soy Sauce on the Vegetarian Stewed Red Pork for colour. Deep-fry at 160°C for about 1 minute, remove the fried Red Pork and cut into cubes.
  • Rinse the winter bamboo shoots in water. Wash and chop the rest of the ingredients and set aside.
  • Heat pan with oil, add sliced ​​ginger, cinnamon and star anise. Add in the rest of the ingredients and sauce. Fry until fragrant.
  • Add in the vegetable stock & starch water. Reduce & simmer over low fire (constant stirring) till thickened.

  • 红烧素肉 (切方块)
  • 青笋半条(切棱形)
  • 冬笋半个(切棱形)
  • 干冬菇5朵
  • 八角2粒
  • 桂皮1小块
  • 姜4片

调味料 :

做法 :

  • 将红烧素肉皮面用酱油上色, 用160°C油炸 1分钟左右, 捞出切方块。
  • 冬笋过水, 然后把所有材料冼净切好备用。
  • 锅下少许油烧热, 放入姜片、桂皮、八角, 然后下所有材料和酱料炒香。
  • 加入素高汤和所有调料一起烧至收汁,勾薄芡即可。
